Thank you for helping your child decorate the heart with his/her name on it. The children shared their hearts at Circle time and we talked about how special each of their names are. God keeps their names in His heart just as you parents do.
It was nice to see so many of you at Barnes and Noble on Saturday. Last week was a great Catholic Schools Week. Thank you so much for your support.
The heart is the shape of the month. This week we went on a shape hunt to find paper hearts in the classroom. We counted and sorted them.
Pink is our color of the month. Thank you for helping your child find a pink item to bring in for our class collage. We enjoyed the books Pink by Michael Dahl and Pinkalicious by Victoria Kahn.
This week we talked about how to keep our teeth healthy and how important it is to eat healthy foods. We sorted pictures of food into healthy and not so healthy groups. It is also important to brush our teeth and we talked about how to do that.
On Friday Dr. Winslow, a pediatric dentist, visited our 4 year old classes.
This week the 4 year olds reviewed the ab and abc patterns. I also taught the children a new pattern, aab. We had fun making patterns with hearts and snap cubes. What kinds of patterns can you make at home?
V is for Valentine
This week the children made a cute bag for the valentines their friends will bring next week. Please do not put friends’ names on the outside of your child’s valentines. Just send in 11 valentines for the 3's and 26 valentines for the 4's with your child’s name on the backs.
Have a great weekend and a fun Valentine’s Day.
